The site is designed with a strong focus on usability and accessibility, utilizing Drupal as the content management system. A custom Bootstrap-based theme ensures mobile-friendly responsiveness across all devices. A custom module, SHA Housing Finder, serves as a key feature of the site. It integrates with Drupal Views to offer an interactive tool that helps users find suitable properties.
Tech Stack
To support multilingual users, the Drupal Google Translator module is implemented, providing automatic language translation. Using Drupal Views, a dedicated SHA Properties View has been created to list all available properties. This view includes a range of filters to help users narrow down search results, like (Number of bedrooms, Sort by wait time, Neighborhoods ,Program type, Pet-friendliness (Do you have pets?) and Search by name)
Additionally, the Geolocation Google Maps module is used to create a map-based view of property locations. This map view includes the same set of filters, providing users with a visual and interactive way to explore housing options. This project included a successful migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 and an upgrade to Drupal 10, ensuring compatibility with modern APIs, improved performance, and long-term support.
